Nowadays, many shops are open all day even at night. Some people think this is essential thing for local shops owners, while others believe this is not very hood thing for their benefit. In this essay i will talk about both positive and negative sides.
On the one hand, staying open for 24 hours can be good for customers. People have different schedules, and some work late or wake up early. When shops are always open, they can buy things whenever they want. For example, if someone needs food, water, or medicine at night, they can go to the shop easily. Also, tourists who come from other countries may want to shop at different times. So, it is useful for them too.
On the other hand, this change can be bad for local shops and markets. Small shop owners do not have enough money or workers to stay open all day and night. They get tired and cannot pay for more staff. Also, when big supermarkets are open all the time, people may stop going to small shops. This can hurt the local economy and many small businesses may close.
In conclusion, being open all day is good for customers but can be bad for local shops and markets. I think it is a negative development for small businesses because they cannot compete with big stores.
