Smoking in public places has been banned in many part of the world. Smoking is often considered as Individual choices and its their lifestyle choices. It has harmful effects on both smokers and non-smokers. Public smoking needs to be controlled to reduce their negative effects in the society. This essay strongly agree that the public smoking should be banned.
Our young generation is slowly getting addicted to smoking and they do it outside. For instance, during office work an employee take a break and go outside of the office to have a tea along with cigarette and there will be a lot of non-smokers who inhale the tobacco. They are habituated to this and they is no certain way to change this until or unless the individual make a positive change in themselves. Tobacco contains harmful chemical called carcinogen that causes cancer in human. Smoking in public has many harmful side effects such as coronary heart disease, mouth cancer, breathing issues and lung cancer. It even affects pregnant women’s. Whenever a pregnant women goes outside, places like market, shops, public transport and stations inhale polluted air emitted by smokers which affects fetus.
Government should be in charge of addressing these negative activities and pass laws that impose limits on individuals who smoke in public. Educational institutions and organization should spread awareness about smoking in public and the negative effects of smoking which can positively change the mindset of people. Smoking should be prohibited in public areas and implement strict punishments. Organization should provide private smoking zone that can significantly control the smoking in public.
In conclusion, Smoking should be banned in public areas to create a healthy environment for people.
