In my opinion, it is largely beneficial as it encourages the protection and promotion of local traditions.
On the one hand, international tourism can lead to the loss of cultural identity. Specifically, people modify their customs, festivals, and clothing in order to attract more visitors. Over time, cultural traditions can lose their original significance. Profits made fom tourists can be utilized to restore historical buildings, maintain museums and support traditional arts.
