Some people say that parents should encourage their children to take part in organized group activities in their free time. While others argue that children should learn to spend time independently. This eassy will discuss both views and explain why the balance of both of them was the best approach.
On the one hand, taking part in organised group activities should be beneficial for children. Firstly, such activities should help them to develop social skills because they interact with others. They will learn group work and improve communication skills for example, when reading with friends, children can learn how to pronounce unfamiliar words correctly. Their friends can guide them in speaking accurately.
On the other hand, it is equally important for children to learn how to occupy themselves. This skill is essential for their development. The main advantage of self-directed learing is enhanced foucs. When a children spend time alone they tend to be more creative and can explore their interests, discovering new things.
From my perspective, the balance betwwen both of them can help children to get mature more quickly. Parents should strive to allocate their time equally between group activities and independent pursuits. While group activities help them to build social abilites and independent work can help them in building self confidence.
In conclusion, organized group activities enhance group and social skills, while independent pursuits promote creativity and self-confidence. Having a balance between both will support a child’s overall growth
