Today, some cities provide vehicle – free days to prohibit private vehicles from the city center. From my perspective, the positive aspects of this days are more impactful than the negative.
We cannot rule out certain drawbacks of this practice. What people refer to the most is the challenging that pose to business.
On days without cars, companies that depend on mobility, including delivery services, can struggle when delivering the items on schedule, which would mean losses. Moreover, customer satisfaction may decline as a result of the vehicles’ decreased accessibility, and delivery firms may need to find other ways to distribute items. In addition, it may be difficult for those who depend on private transport for medical needs, such as the elderly or disabled, to get the essential medical care. Their health could suffer greatly as a result, since they might not be able to get medical attention in a timely manner.
However, the associated benefits of havjng car-free days make it worth anticipating. A key agrument for this view is related to promoting public transportation. Unlike normal day when people have a variety of vehicle options, day without a car also encourages public transport, which is a more economical and environmentally friendly form of mobility than private vehicles. During days without cars, more people use public transport, which reduces the number of cars on the road and relieves traffic congestion, result in higher awareness of public transportation’s role. What forms my optimsims is the reduction of air pollution caused by vehicles. One of the main pollutants that cars release that are harmful to human health is carbon dioxide which is harmful for people’s health. By limiting the number of cars on the road on vehicle-free days, air pollution can be considerably decreased, proving cleaner air that helps individual have greater respiratory health, and an all-around higher quality of life.
In conclusion, despite the disconnection in business and medication aspects, I still assert that the benefits are more important to be advocated. It not only help to promote using public transport but also reduce one of the most concerning issues, air pollution in cities.
