with the changing life-style of the modern societies, numerous nations around the the word face similar problem, the raising of the unproductive citizen. This phenomena poses signifant threat to the countries with several drawbacks, and personally I do not see any benefit from the increasing number of the unproductive seniors.
To begin with, the increasing number of the unemployement due to the old age of the people might be detrimental for the growth of the economic of a particular country. Imagine, if there are many jobs opportunity available but the job seeker is less, what would happen? The country may collapse, thus they desperately looking for qualified workers by opening the access of workers from foreign countries. On the one hand, it probably seem to be a perfect solution to boost the econonomic growth of the states. Hence, let us see the social dynamic created by this policy. Recently, the world are shocked by the incident of the London riots where the British demanded to chase away all the migrant workers. They argue that the foreign workers had taken away their jobs. This might be my only assumption, but we had seen the interview of the protesters from the news that aired on the medias, they are mostly dominated by the senior citizen argued that they could not work because their place are taken by the migrants.
Futhermore, the soaring number of the old age retired citizen will burden the government budget such as on the healthcare, penssion, and many other facilities. Although it cannot be denied that it is the states’s responsibility to take care of those senior citizen, yet frankly, it is still part of the disantavages of their existence.
Considering the problems that I have expalined, it can be seen clearly that the increasing number of the retirement age from work brings more harms than good.
