The question of whether it is necessary to wear school uniform has sparked much debate. One side believes that students’ appearance does not matter, and the other side claims the opposite. Personally, I agree with the first opinion because the school population should feel themselves comfortable in their clothing, and, as I think, uniform does not affect education or learning at all.
First of all, it is of a paramount importance to feel more comfortable to delve into studies. And it is one of the biggest adversities in many schools. For instance, as we know, female students are required to wear skirts. The problem is that it hinders to move and walking. Due to it, they, obviously, cannot concentrate on the lesson.
Second of all, appearance does not influence learning and focusing on studies. It depends on a student himself. A person will study or not, and this is, definitely, not as a result of wearing a uniform.
Nevertheless, proponents of the second opinion argue that pupils’ uniform helps to maintain discipline and obey to the school government. This is a significant aspect. However, it is important to note that there can be so many violations of the rule, and, consequently, much quarreling between a teacher and a student.
Taking everything into account, I believe that it does not matter how does a student look. A school is for gaining knowledge, and if we will solve the problems that I mentioned above, school population can concentrate only on the lessons and receive information in the best possible way.
