Employees are the most important part of any association, whether it is in business or social spheres. Some employers think that intelligence tests are the most considerable option for choosing new workers, while others believe personality tests are best. In my opinion, intelligence tests are a better option for managers who require intelligence in their work, and personality tests are suitable in caring fields of society, such as psychology.
Intelligence tests are the choice for bosses who prefer intelligence over personality in their professions, such as economists and architects. The work of economists and architects depends on calculation, and that is why managers prefer intelligent people in those fields. Intelligent employees help with the development of the business with their smart decisions and perfect results of their work, which a good personality may not provide. For example, in architecture, a worker who has a good personality but does not know how to draw structures is useless in this specialty.
On the other hand, personality tests are a good choice for bosses who want to select workers who have better interpersonal skills. For some sectors of society, such as psychology and entertainment services, the best selection. In these sectors, people require the best personality, not intelligence. For example, if you are seeing a psychologist and waiting for a good solution for your trauma, and the psychologist is telling you something about mathematics, that would be weird.
In conclusion, I think and personally believe that personality tests are the best option in their sectors, while intelligence tests are the most considerable option in some specialties.
