Many contemporary artists demand substantial sums for their handmade items. At the same time, those who have not developed their craftsmanship on that level need to endure a survivalist lifestyle. Based on my personal experience, when someone creates a valuable thing, people need to be affordable to pay. Everyone can rates their labor on themselves, and do not be scared that someone can disagree with it. All in all, if you do not make a purchase from a person, and now he needs to struggle to survive, you regard his work not worthily, and he makes his path to poverty on himself by not being a master on his job.
Some people could find this disbalance quite unfair, however, I think that the authorities need to support only talented people. Overall, if a person can make an income spending his time on the thing he adore, this can be a person people can look up to, and a person whose work always will be bought.
To make a conclusion, people usually are divided into two categories, those who support a skilled but well-paid, and those who would rather pay attention to an uncapayable one. Generally, people have an opinion that the governments need to handle this argument. I stick to an opinion that every single person needs to make his path on himself, and never waits for a help from an authority.
