There is a debate over which way of childcare is superior. Some people think childcare centers provide the best service for children of pre-school age. Other working parents believe that family members such as grandparents will be better carers for their young kids. I agree with the latter view.
One advantage of childcare centers is that they usually offer organized learning systems. For instance, they have programs designed for children of different age groups and focus on teaching various skills such as maths, arts and languages, which grandparents may not be as good at teaching these skills. Apart from that, children have opportunity to socialize with their peers. As a result, children can pick up several skills, including but not limited to collaboration, conflict management and communication.
Despite these advantages, I still favour childcare provided by family members, such as grandparents. The most significant upside is that grandparents can give much more attention to their own grandchildren. Consequently, children will be safer and receive better care in a safe home environment. As a result, working parents can carry out their duties without worrying about their children’s well-being. Moreover, grandparents provide not only safe childcare, but also free childcare service. This offers working parents to save money on childcare and they can spend it other essential things such as education expenses.
In conclusion, although formal childcare centers have special services and socializing opportunities, I believe that grandparents care is superior because they provide safe chilcare service and this service is free.
