There is an increasing belief that we ought to create a new universal language for every human being around the world. Others, however, argue that this is unbelievable and a waste of time. While both views are sensible to an extent, I strongly believe, it is impossible to invent such language.
One robust argument regarding universal language is that it would open the door for new opportunities by removing language barriers. Hypothetically, if linguists manage to create a new universal language it will possibly make information more accessible and understandable for everyone in the world. Translating tools like google for example, is not always appropriate, in fact meaning of a specific word may differ according to context. Therefore, some people supporting this particular idea.
Nevertheless, critics believe that language is interconnected with nations culture and history, making inventing universal language impossible. Logically, every language requires centuries to develop and become fully developed and functional. From ancient times people communicated with different ways, firstly, they interacted with motions than over time they finally created words, sounds and grammar. Eventually, they formulated languages, which represents their culture and history. Now there are thousands of unique languages over the globe. Thus, people are completely sceptic about devising universal language.
In my opinion, although its convenience and utility, formulating a global language is implausible. It will require significant funds and centuries to create such language. Furthermore, scientists have almost no clue to be able to handle huge stuff towards common global tongue.
In conclusion, some believe that we should create an international lingua franca, whereas critics argue that it is impossible to achieve success at this point. Therefore, we should not waste our time and learn more languages instead.
