The issue of whether artificial intelligence has positive or negative effects on humans remains a source of controversy. While some people argue that this technological advancement can pave the way for humans to develop their creativity and productivity, others hold the opposing view. This essay will delve into both aspects before drawing a logical conclusion.

On the one hand, artificial intelligence can facilitate humans to develop in a holistic way. One compelling reason is that this advancement can provide people with knowledge in numerous aspects for a short time, resulting in the escalation of productivity, the accumulation of knowledge and the decline of labor. Another core reason is that artificial intelligence is likely to open avenues for people to develop their creativity. Laurentian University’s research stands as a salient testament, showing that 30% of artists surveyed admitted that artificial intelligence is instrumental in creating their products.

On the other hand, artificial intelligence can impede human development. One prominent reason is the misuse in utilizing technology of humans. For instance, some organizations abuse artificial intelligence to steal users’ data and use it for fraud and misappropriation the user’s property. Hence, it puts users in jeopardy of depleted property, affecting numerous aspects of their life, which is contradictory to the initial purpose of artificial technology. Another compelling reason the the complex development of technology as well as artificial intelligence, triggering the decline in humans’ skills. This is rooted in the fact that automation technology has already replaced humans in many processes, which is necessary for careers, putting their job positions in jeopardy. Therefore, the appearance of artificial intelligence can extort the initial purpose and debilitate fundamental skills.

In conclusion, after all the above-mentioned facts are discussed, my unshakable conviction is that humans should utilize artificial intelligence in a wise way to develop themselves in a well-rounded way.
