In our fast-paced world, humans have created weapons of mass destruction, and the most dangerous among them is nuclear bombs. Therefore, there is an ongoing debate about whether to prohibit the use of these weapons or not. I believe that while the nuclear threat may help maintain peace in the current world, it is primarily a destructive tool that should be non-existent.
On the one hand, weapons of massive destruction may cause a lot of disadvantages for people and the local environment. Firstly, it can affect the atmosphere since nuclear bombs will blast huge amounts of soot into the atmosphere, which will lead to air pollution and climate change as soot will not allow sunlight to enter and leave the atmosphere, there would be a problem with global warming. In short, a nuclear threat may damage the environment and society.
However, there are a wide range of weapons that are as harmful as nuclear bombs. For instance, missiles or hydrogen bombs may be even more destructive than nuclear ones. Moreover, for some governments, nuclear weapons can play a crucial role in their politics. They may use mass destruction weapons for self-protection from other aggressive governments, which will impede the conflicts between countries. As a result, nuclear bombs will reduce the number of wars.
To sum up, while nuclear weapons may be advantageous for politics, the disadvantages outweigh the benefits since nuclear threat is harmful to nature and individuals. In addition, nuclear bombs can significantly impact the atmosphere, leading to climate change. I think that any weapons of massive destruction should not be used and should be completely banned
