Now a days, learning foreign languages is much important and required in the life. The student is felt to start learning another language in the secondary stage, while it is believed that students should tend to begin learning a second language starting the first stage of school. In my view, I agree with practicing a new language earlier that has many positive sides for the children.
On the one hand, learning an additional language later has some merits. It is said that mastering the mother language firstly is more important than learning two languages at the same time. To illustrate, some students get confused and merge between the basics of both languages, as a result, there will not be a mastered language. In addition, having enough experience is thought to be important before studying a new language. For instance, if there is a strong background about the languages such as their parts and skills, the learning process will be faster.
On the other hand, other people think that children should start learning extra languages with the age of joining school. In fact, learning at early stages is easier to achieve its goals. In other words, fresh minds are much far prepared to receive a huge quantity of information compared to the older persons. For example, the lessons, including languages, which are studied in the primary school are considered as basics and still remembered almost all the life. Moreover, the children have much spare time to use, that they are free to learn a foreign language with a clear mind, but the secondary students already have joined the details of the life and new interests have been added to their day. Personally, I believe in learning extra languages earlier due to the reasons that are early mentioned.
In conclusion, although it is thought that learning a new language should be started with the secondary school for some reasons, such as building a strong experience and mastering the native language at first, it is believed that children should take a step in studying languages with kindergarten stage because of free time and receiving smoothly that the students are distinguished by. In my opinion, on a balance, it is much better to start language learning in an earlier age.
