Some people believe that content on the media should be available to public, there should be no limitations. I personally think there should be freedom, but governments need to control in some situations.
One of the main benefits of freedom in the media is that it allows people to understand social issues. If there no limitation on the contant which media contains, everyone can have acces on information about important changes. As a result, public will be aware of issues and take action to solve this. Allowing people know about the particular problems can help to manage it faster. For example, constantly warnings about growing enviromental issues can influence individuals positively.
However, clear concern about unrestricted availablness of media is misinformation. False news mislead people on purpose and cause panic. This can lead to chaos among people, and sometimes turn into big issues. For example, misinformation can put indivduals against each other in political, ethnical, racial or social terms.
Another concerning thing is unwanted or violent content especially for kids. I think it is particulary important, because some types information, for example violence, explicit content and crime details, can be traumatic for some people.
In conclusion, even though, no limitation and sensor can give public an access to any information, it also has several negative effects, such as false news. I believe government should filter what is shown on the media.
