Children are considered the architects in making a country’s future. It is believed by many people that children should be put under strict surveillance and should be made to follow orders from their teachers and parents to turn into better individuals. On the contrary, it is also believed that kids who are controlled by elders often fail to face challenges by themselves. This essay believes that children should be left free to perform tasks on their own, whilst getting constant feedback from their elders.
Children are like wet clay, they can be molded into a beautiful pot or an unpleasant one. The hands that mold these children are generally parents and teachers. Every action of a child is a result of the thoughts and orders given by their elders. Owing to the fact that it is hard for a person to change his personality once he reaches adulthood, it is obvious that a disciplined childhood is the mark of a good life. However, there are some downsides to a strict childhood. Kids tend to lose themselves failing to understand the real essence of life.
Furthermore, individuals tend to become too dependent on their elders and feel helpless when put in a difficult situation. In their childhood, they were used to being pulled out of a detrimental situation by an external hand. However, it makes them vulnerable to situations when there are no wings to act as a support. It is better for the child to start adopting the attitude of independence right from their childhood. Parents should stop being a shadow to their children and encourage them to tackle hardships on their own which would make the child a strong individual ready to take on the accelerating world.
In conclusion, it is best for the children to get guidance from their parents until the right age and thereafter, they should be allowed to take actions holding full responsibility. Although the child might face problems initially and fall into trouble, it is for a greater future that he needs to look for.
