Some individuals believe that children should share household and childcare responsibilities equally with their parents, while others argue that young people should only focus on their studies and daily activities. I personally agree with the second view. This essay will discuss both perspectives and explain my opinion.
On the one hand, some people think that giving children certain responsibilities can make them mature and independent. When children take part in simple household tasks, they learn important life skills such as decision-making, time management, and discipline. They also understand the challenges their parents face and become more responsible in their personal lives. In addition, staying busy with useful tasks helps them avoid bad habits, which is a significant advantage.
On the other hand, many people believe that children should not carry heavy responsibilities because it may cause stress. Youngsters are still developing mentally and physically, so dealing with adult responsibilities can negatively affect their health. For example, children who are given too much work may feel anxious, tired, or depressed, which can harm their emotional well-being and academic performance. Therefore, it is better to let them concentrate on their studies and healthy activities.
In conclusion, I support the second viewpoint because taking on serious responsibilities at a young age can be harmful to children’s mental and physical growth. They should be allowed to live freely and focus on their education and daily activities, which are more beneficial for their overall development.
