It is argued that children should learn how to spend their money in schools. On the other hand, some individuals believe that there is no need for that. However, I strongly support the idea that students in school should have enough knowledge about financial literacy and planning, because it is main part of everyone’s life.
First of all, if subjects about financial planning will be added, it is mean that we preparing students for stabile adulthood. Because students, who are taught the basics of financial management, grow up more independent and confident in their financial decisions. Moreover, having knowledge about financial management can help avoid debt accumulation and rash spending.
Secondly, while many school subjects like algebra, geometry, and music are important, they are not always directly applicable in daily life. Financial literacy, on the other hand, is a practical skill that is used every day. Furthermore, schools are excellent places for forming early habits, such as saving money and budgeting, which can significantly reduce financial anxiety. Many adults experience stress due to a lack of financial knowledge, and teaching these skills early can help avoid such problems in the future.
In conclusion, although many people believe that money management subjects are not necessary in schools, I believe that early education in financial literacy can significantly benefit students in their adult lives.
