Certain people thought that homework should be given to children everyday so that they can be successful at school, while others believe that teachers shouldn’t burden children with the home assignments daily. In my opinion, Even though doing homework daily certainly helps children to improve their grade sheet, they should have free time to develop additional skills and socialize in society.
On the one hand, some people believe that children will improve their studies if they do their school assignment at home every day. It helps them to understand the subject matter in-depth. There are some subjects such as math and science that need to be practiced daily to become perfect, which eventually helps young people to pursue a greater profession in the future. Furthermore, it also helps them disciplined towards their studies.
On the other hand, certain scholars believe that children should have free time in order to develop extra skills and to socialize in society, which I agree with. For example, school time in Nepal is generally from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. If teachers give additional work to students to do at home, they won’t have any spare time because they should allocate their doing their homework. As a result, a country can’t produce good sports athletes because children can’t get enough time to practice during their childhood. Not only this, they can’t socialize with other members of the society. As a consequence, students can suffer from mental pressure and stress if they don’t get enough time for refreshments and engagement.
In conclusion, I believe children should not be burdened with extra coursework at home. Instead, they should have spare time to develop additional skills during their childhood so that they can achieve success in their professional life. Also, they can be a good individual by socializing in society.
