Nowadays, spending more time with family or friends is the hottest topic nowadays. Whom they spend the most time with can decide their character when they grow up. In my opinion, children in this age should spend more time with friends when they are after school time.
On the one hand, spending most time with family can have many positive impacts on children. The first benefit is that it can help strengthen bonds with family members. For example, fathersand children can chat together to understand each other better. Fathers can share their experiences with their children, and children can tell their parents about their lessons or school day. On the other hand, overprotection byfamily can have a negative effect on children. This can lead to children lacking life skills and not knowing how to care for themselves.
On the other hand, spending time with friends can bring a huge amount of benefits to children. First, they can learn how to react in necessary situations. For example, when children spend more time with their friends, they develop more skills and confidence than children who do not. Second, they can become more independent as they grow up. Children who do not spend time with friends may lose independence skills and struggle to control themselves in difficult situations. For instance, a child who is protected and over-cared for by family may not be as proactive as another child in the same situation.
In conclusion, although spending more time with family is not wrong, there is always free time for friends or others. I encourage children to have flexible schedules and balance their time with family and others, such as friends.
