In the contemporary era, opinions are divided on whether kids should spare extra time to learn practically in the real world while some think that theoratical knowledge is worth essential. In my opinion, both arrangements have benefits, but the most suitable option depends on the situation.
On the one hand, as today’s beta generation child borns with smart features like a newly launched apple i-phone as even one year baby knows how to touch the mobile screen and scroll. So, undoubtedly, they will grow in fast paced society but they should also be awared about moral values. For an instance of touching feet of elder adults to receive blessings which is a ritual in India. Moreover, youngsters do not know how to prepare meal, therefore, they prefer to order food at the stores and eat fast food which is not healthy for long-term use. That is why these skills if they should be taughed by parents then risk of diseases would be less.
On the opposite side, the information chidren acquired from the books is also a bread and butter for them as even for cooking abilities, they have to learn about mathematical calculations such as how to measure the exact amount of egg, milk, all purpose flour and sugar to bake cookies. Furthermore, academic knowledge is vital to survive in this competitive world and to fulfil the dream to engage in particular profession. For example, more than 5 years school study needed to become a doctor.
To conclude, although children should be encourged to gain basic daily life skills, theoratical knowledge is also vital for them to stand on their own feet.
