Band 5+: Some people believe that children’s leisure activities must be educational, otherwise they are a complete waste of time. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your experience.

These days belief of some people is that the leisure activities is waste of time if they are not related to education but I totally disagree with that. I think leisure activities either educational or non education play key role in the children’s life.

Leisure activites like hiking, swimming and playing different games gives the childeren not only physical strength but also gives them mental strength. By doing these type of activites they get different experience of life which make them stronger in their coming age. Take the activity like swimming this activity gives them a life saving skill and also its good for physical health.

Some activites like playing games for example football gives them the ability to work and collaberate with others. Which improves childeren’s team play. They understand how to respect others and how to behave with others. These types of games teaches childeren about the win and loss conditions.

These leisure activites not only focus on health but also increase the childeren’s creativity. They get oppurtunity to test their minds and focus on little things like by solving puzzles. Reaserch done by one of great american university in boston shows that children’s who are more involve in these types of activities are more creative and fast learner as compare to the other children’s in same age group.

So the my conculsion is that the childeren must be involve in the leisure activites which are either educational or non educational as they play key role in their mental and physical development. And they also increase the creativity level of childeren.
