people have conflicting views about which one is important economic growth or environmental protection. While economic progress is of course essential, I agree with those who believe that protection of environment should be prioritized.
There are several key reasons why economice growth is seen as a fundemental goal. To begin with, a healthy economy result in job creation, a high level of employmen, Improving living standards through better well-paid. Spending on infrastructure and public services is another reason of important of ecomic growth. This is because a government with high revenues can invest on areas such as coounty’s transport network, its education system, and its hospital.Therefore, without a healthy and secure economy, people and the government may struggle to meet underlying needs.
However, I would argue that environmental protection is as important as the economic factors mentioned above. First, it should be noted that having a pollution-free environment leads to better physical and mental health. Consider a society with high air pollution like Tehran, where in such a large city, the release of chemicals from factories and vehicles into the environment can harm the health of residents and may lead to respiratory diseases. In addition, various species are becoming extinct due to neglect of the environment and human exploitation of nature, which leads to a decrease in biodiversity and disruption of the balance of the ecosystem. Therefore, if environmental protection is delayed any longer, the earth may no longer be a place to live.
In conclusion, I can understand that the economy is clearly a key indicator of a country’s success, but preserving the environment is equally important to save the earth and its creatures.
