While many believe that economic development is the most effective solution to global poverty, others argue that it should be halted to protect the environment from harm. In my view, economic progress is important, but it must be regulated to prevent environmental degradation.
First of all, main reason for this idea is that economic grow can making more jobs for peoples. Today, many peoples in world still living in the poor. If they having a job, they can earning money and live more better life. This can helping them to escape from the poverties. Because of this, the government maybe see less crime, because peoples with job is not likely doing something illegal. As result, the society can becoming more safer, and many peoples feel more happy every days.
On the other hand, economic growth can have bad result if it is not control well. Natural resources is limited, and they need protection in every place. For example, many forests are being destroy and trees are cut for making new buildings, new houses, and for using the wood in products. Because of this, some endangered animals are hurting and losing their natural home, so they cannot live safely. So, economic growth may cause big problems to nature if people not use resources in a wise way. If the environment balance change, people also can suffer a lot.
In conclusion, I think that protecting the nature is more important than economic growth. If economic development can help to reduce the poverty, it should not come at the cost of the environment. So, governments should try to make a balance between economic progress and protect the nature, so we can have a safe and sustainable future for the next generations.
