Nowadays, it is argued that artificially intelligent robots will finally take over all occupations. Although most of the easy jobs can be done by robots, it is unlikely that complex sensitive tasks that done by humans will be taken over by robots. This essay will discuss why robots should be involved in certain areas.
In the future, It is possible that menial jobs will be done by artificial intelligence. In fact, humans can contribute in accelerating the take over process for its benefits. First, it would save the time as robots can produce more in less time compared to humans. For example, candies factories that use machines can produce more than 500 products in one hour. Second, robots have lower margin of error compared to humans. For example, robots can be used in automated counting of imported goods in stores. Therfore, simple tasks can be done smoothly using them.
On the other hand, it is hard to rely on robots in accomplishing tasks that need a high level of coordination.
First, complex tasks that require a high level of skill can’t be done by robots without the aid of humans. For example, people will not accept the idea that there heart surgeries will be carried out completely by a robot. Second, robots have a high risk of damage. For instance, a breakdown during a critical surgery can lead to serious complications. Therefore, complex tasks specifically those related to health can’t be done using robots alone.
To conclude, people believe that most of the jobs will be done in the future by robots. Although robots can do simple ones, it is unlikely that they can perform the complex ones nicely. In my opinion, whatever level robots reach, we always need humans to be involved.
