Nowadays we have a lot of new technologies which adults use every day, but some people think that it can negatively affect to their reading and writing skills. I partly agree with this statement and in this essay will write about how new technologies downgrade writing skills, but also help with reading skills.
On the one hand we have new technologies like T9, which help people write correctly, but adolescents use it too much and because of them they start to not keep attention to grammar. It means that they prioritize speed than grammar and it leads to decrease in writing skills. For example, in chats like What’s up adults quickly write messages and program highlight the wrong words and correct them. It makes addict young people to new technologies, if they want to write correctly.
On the other hand, smartphones lead to buff reading skills for young generations. Because they chat a lot or read something in their gadgets every day in every places, while without it they can not do it. For instance, smartphones are very compact and contain a lot of information and you can use it for reading everywhere, while books can be very massive and if you want to change the book, you can not do it while you are not at home. It make new technologies very comfortable for reading.
In conclusion, everything have both positive and negative effects and we just need to find some positive in new technologies and highlight them and try to not use functions, that negatively affect on you.
