Thus, some people feel that using animal is necessary; however, it is argued by others that the rights of animals should be protected. This essay will discuss the demand for animals while also considering animal rights.
On the one hand, a growing number of people believe that animals are used for medical research and safety. To put it simply, animal experiments are the foundation for developing lifesaving vaccines, antibiotics, and treatments for human diseases. As a result, it’s appropriate for human medicine. Another point is that animals are essential for economic and social utility. To sum up, animal agriculture supports livelihoods. Consequently, pets play a significant role in human mental health and reduce stress. Without using animals, it would be impossible to support livelihoods and human diseases.
On the other hand, others say that animals should be protected because of sentience and suffering. This is because they argue that animals can feel pain, fear, and frustration. For this reason, it is unethical to exploit them for testing, entertainment, and factory farming. Another reason is that animals balance our diversity. When we destroy wildlife, it will later become a major threat to the Earth. From this perspective, it would be a good idea to protect animals’ rights.
In conclusion, there is no reason why using animals cannot play a significant role when it comes to saving human life, but it is also true that we cannot ignore the importance of animals’ rights for biodiversity.
