Some people support the idea that all employees have to be retired at the age of 60,or otherwise it will lead to some difficulties.However,I believe that the decision of giving up work should be individual rather than mandatory for many reasons as will be presented in the upcoming paragraph.
In my opinion,one of the most important aspect to take into account when deciding on the retirement age is professional area.In other words,every job requires certain level of physical,intellectual and psychological abilities that are important to consider.This is supported by the fact that highly ranked athletes have a very low age of ending the career,which is due to them already being unable to perform at their early 30s.In comparison,cooks have a very high retirement age,because they can be effective in their work even after they turn 70.
Another important factor that can influence the ability to successfully work at the age of 60 is the one’s state of health.Majority of diseases get worse as we get older,which can impair our performance at work.In some cases,retirement is the only right choice,however others are still healthy and fit even at the old age.Therefore it is not possible to fire those,who still can do their job and enjoy it,especially if it is a very important and trusted employee.
In conclusion,I opine that the every person has their own free will and can chose whether they want to work after the turn 60 or not.In addition,employers need to consider heath,performance and job area of each member of staff when discussing their retirement age.
