I believe that both options are beneficial but in different ways. Rural area is more quiet and good for those people who wants to find calm and harmony. On the other hand, urban is for active people who wants to develop in a city and find more opportunities for self-improvement.
I think the choice of place for life depends on various factors. Of course, first factor than plays huge role in this is personal preferences. People always choose something they like better. But personal preferences themselves depend on temperament and mindset of a person. Someone who is vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic would probably choose urban life rather than rural.
The second factor is life experience. If someone was raised in rural area it is more probably that this person would choose rural as familiar and lovely place. It is exactly my situation, because I grew up in a village and now I don’t really like big cities so I would probably choose rural area for life.
And, in my opinion, the last crucial factor is age. It is obvious that most elder people want to live calmer and peaceful life, and rural area is the best way to find peace via the connection with nature. Young and ambitious people more likely want to live in cities with a buch of opportunities for self-development. We can see this happening all around the world, especially it is relevant in Ukraine where I’m from. Here youth lives villages and tries to find their place in big cities what cause the problem of dying of villages.
As conclusion, the choice of better place for life is very personal, it depends on several factors which can influence a lot on people’s preferences. Living in both rural and urban areas can be beneficial. Benefits of rural life are calmness, harmony, connection with nature, clear air and much free space. And benefits of urban life are activeness, development, technology and interaction with many people.
