Some are convinced that raising children in the countryside holds more benefits, while others believe that cities are more suitable for that. I, personally, side with the latter as cities are a better stepping stone in building a better future for the kids.
On the one hand, living in the countryside might be healthier overall due to a rising problem of air pollution in cities. As a result of poor air quality, cases of children developing respirational diseases have become more frequent. Moreover, kids raised in villages tend to appreciate nature and human labor more, which is shown in the way they treat food and the environment. However, there is also a problem of lower literacy in people raised in the countryside. It is a consequence of two factors: outdated worldview and professionals not willing to work there. Some of the people living in villages are convinced that education is not important, while those who believe the opposite are reluctant to work there.
On the other hand, opportunities provided by cities should not be underestimated. In addition to better living conditions, superior education is another major argument in favor of metropolises. Evidently, people who have gotten better education will have better career options, subsequently higher income and stable wellbeing. Yet, cities are not deprived of negative traits, one of which is wealth disparity. The material gap among different classes is more vivid that it is in villages.
In conclusion, both cities and the countryside have their own benefits but I am convinced that the former is a better option that will help to build a better life.
