Nowadays, people are migrating to urban cities at rapid growth rate for better employment opportunities and bright future for their off springs. There is an ongoing debate where one school of thoughts advocate that children should be bred in cities while others are saying that rural areas are more beneficial for them. I have discussed reasonable pros and cons of both the sides in the forthcoming paragraphs.
First and foremost, cities have more advanced schools in comparison to countryside. Owing to this, kids can excel in their academic career and can broaden their horizon in terms of studies. Secondly, availability of tuitions and extra-curricular activities are major benefit for the children. On the flip side, fees of these schools and other institutions are very high and can become a financial burden on their parents. Moreover, high competition in schools can lead to hyper stress in minors which can have adverse side-effects on their well-being.
In the countryside, children can have fresh air and huge fields to play. For instance, research done by Oxford University concludes that children from the countryside are more physically sound and active than kids from cityside. This scenario results into kids joining military, armed forces, and other physically demanding occupations in their adulthood. Apart from this, living in rural areas can inculcate the values and respect towards their elders and nature. Nonetheless, less academic opportunities can become a hurdle in their career.
On the close scrutiny, parents should consider the pros and cons of both the places before taking the quintessential decision about their kids’ upbringing. Lastly, it comes to the value system in the family that really matters to their children’s future.
