People often argue that it is more beneficial for children to grow up in the countryside, while others claim that urban areas offer more advantages to children. Even though both views have strong arguments, I personally believe that children can learn a lot more in rural areas than the city.
Growing up in rural areas can be beneficial for children as they can learn the importance of hospitality and to respect nature. Most countrysides are consisted of small communities. As a result, many citizens become familiar with one another. They will start greeting each other, spend quality time together by having little conversations, or even exchange foods to their neighbors. This can lead to a strong bond and children can naturally learn how to show respect by showing appreciation. Furthermore, in many rural areas, there are not so many stores around. People often cultivate their own crops and feed themselves. By doing so, children can learn a lot by planting crops such as vegetables, fruits, and so forth. It can be an efficient way of teaching them the difficulty of growing the food they consume everyday.
While growing up in the countryside can be advantageous for children, living in the city can also teach various skills for them. For example, children will have valuable opportunity to interact with vast technology. Because technology is becoming a necessity to our lives, having the time to use technology and gaining knowledge about it is a very useful skill for children when considering about their future life. Moreover, children will have unlimited access to entertainment and can spend quality time with their friends and family without ever getting bored.
In conclusion, both sides have significant advantages that support children’s growth. With countryside areas having the environment to learn about the importance of gratitude towards others and nature, while the city having the atmosphere of gaining essential technological skills and spending quality time with their loved ones.
