Band 5+: Some people believe that it is more important to teach children the literature and history of their own country, rather than the literature and history of other countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, teaching the literature and history to children has become widespread acrsoss the globe. However, a number of people argue that local traditions ought to be put more emphasize on rather than history of other continents when it comes to teaching the students. While I acknowledge that learning our country’s backround is compulsory, pupils ,studying in schools, should be taught the story of actions that happened in various regions.

Although some skeptics contend that there is no need for people to get to know the record of other states, there are plethora of benefits comes with learning tradition, literature, and history of other places. First, it would be beneficial especially for student who pursue their education in polytics or law since the commence of all the rules of the specific country related to their history and by knowing that kind of information lead people to understand the coming reasons of all principles. For example, the history of country that shows how they develop has a strong bound to the acceptance of certain laws across the country.

Moreover, individuals might broaden their horizons by learning cultrures and backgrounds of different countries. Despite the fact that it takes vast amount of time for students to consume dozens of informations about the evolution, this may increase the worldview of pupils dramatically. The more individuals learn, the better they contribute to the economy of their own country. For example, if it had not been for the information of diverse range of nations around the world, we would not have an opportunity to develop our viewpoint.

In conclusion, while I accept that absorbing the history of the place where the certain citizens live is a duty of every nationalities, exploring other domains is indispensible as well.
