In this contemporary world, in light of the proliferation of technology, a commonly held view is that technology can pose more problems for modern society than it addresses. From my perspective, I partially disagree with this statement
On the one hand, technology exhausts natural resources. Indeed , a prodigious number of materials and budget are required for crafting state-of-the-art equipment of technology. A case in point is that both cutting-edge robots and chips necessitate a good many valuable resources and monetary support which subsidize for the experts to do research so that these tools are operated correctly
In spite of aforementioned disadvantages of technology, its merits should not be neglected. First and foremost, it entitles people to mitigate the problems of aging population. That is to say, in some countries, there is a growing number of the old and developing technology will provide more workforce to replace senior citizens with robots in laborious works. so not only do the productivity increase , but the burden on the old may decline. For instance, in Japan, which has one of the highest proportion of senior citizens in the world, automation on repeated and tedious occupations will be an ideal option. Furthermore ,albeit technology has a tendency to replace people in arduous tasks, there will be more job opportunities in the future. Indeed, technology tend to stimulate the enhancement of other fields such as physics, astronomy,.. Thus the number of high quality labours has accelerated than ever before
In conclusion, while acknowledging the downsides of technology, I firmly affirm that the benefits of it overshadow the cons. However, I opine that people also ought to utilize it in a sensible way in order to avoid wastage and ultimately maximize the pros
