These days, some individauls think that technology creates more dilemmas for comtemporary society than it resolves. Personally, I completely agree with this point of view, especially when looking at the two most prominent issues: increasing unemployment and people’s sedentary lifestyle.
Firstly, the remarkable development of technology is changing the labor market. Robots, artificial intelligence and automation are increasingly being applied in production and services. Many repetitive tasks have been taken over by machines, leading to a series of workers losing their jobs. This not only causes economic difficulties but also increases social tension and security instability.
Second, the convenience that technology brings has invisibly made people lazier and less active. Instead of exercising to perform daily activities such as going to the market or going to work, people can easily order online and work from home. This sedentary lifestyle is the cause of many dangerous diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity, which threaten human health.
In short, although technology brings many benefits, its negative impacts cannot be ignored. To maximize the advantages and minimize the disadvantages of technology, we need appropriate solutions, such as retraining the workforce, encouraging healthy living, and building a more equitable society.
