Some people believe that technology has made people’s lives easier, while other argue that it has made life more stressful. In my opinion, technology has improved our lives in many ways, but its excessive use can cause significant problems. I agree with the statement and stand with both the views.
On the one hand, technology has made communication faster and more convenient. It has enabled us to connect to our friends and families around the world without worrying about geographical borders. It has benefited businesses by allowing them to connect with employees and international clients without travelling long distances. For example, employees can attend meetings with their colleagues and make decisions more quickly. As a result, technology can save both time and money.
On the other hand, technology does have its downsides as well. Rapid development in technology is a contributing factor in emotional stress, anxiety, and depression in people’s lives. The increasing dependency on the digital world reduces face-to-face interaction, which leads to trust issues and misunderstandings in professional and personal relationships. Furthermore, the rapid development of artificial intelligence has raised concern over human skills in the workplace. Although AI can complete certain basic tasks, it’s misuse facilitates cyberbullying and scams. This makes people feel less confident about trusting and interacting online.
To conclude, I believe that technology has made people’s lives easier because it has increased connectivity and productivity. However, people should use it responsibly to reduce its negative effects on mental well-being as well as human relationships.
