One group of people thinks that television channels do not bring any type of benefits for kids.
In my point of view, television programs are just a method to kill time, like solving Sudoku or creating origami, and do not provide any advantages for young minds. Because of the commercial reasons of streaming platforms, nowadays it is just a space where about 80% of screen time is promotional content. So children will get a lot of unnecessary information or misrepresented news. For instance, the popular brand of energy drinks, Red Bull, put forward the idea of insane tricks where the action was done by professionals. And kids will absolutely be encouraged to do the same action without any observation or experience and get hurt. A better decision is just to turn off the TV and let kids go out.
An additional reason for my agreement is that the young generation will become introverts due to spending an enormous amount of time at home and, as a result, lack socialisation. Social skills are the most significant abilities in our life to be successful; no one will bring you opportunities or find you a person who can solve the problem. It is always on your shoulders, like negotiations, selling, and convincing people to make a deal. For example, a kid who has grown without any experience with other people will be shy, afraid to do public work, and miss a lot of opportunities right in his hands. As a result, his path in life is much more terrible and harder than that of other socialised children.
In conclusion, my point of view is that television programmes are of no worth to kids, and advertisements should be sorted for children’s audience because children tend to mimic what they see, and if it is a promotion of, for example, Red Bull, young people will get hurt or have a lethal outcome. Additionally, children will grow antisocial without any experience or notion of social links, so it could be a big problem for the future.
