People have different views about whether technology can supersede teachers or not. While some feel that technology take the place of teachers, I believe that courses with teachers are more efficient.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why some individuals think that technology will substitute for teachers. Teaching is aimed not just delivering information, but also at developing human relations. Teachers provide emotional support and motivation, and this is important for students to overcome challenges, build confidence. These interpersonal elements are difficult to replicate through technology, even impossible.
On the other hand, technology can deliver content quickly and at scale. The online platforms and educational apps enable students to access knowledge and use system effectively anywhere in the world. It requires a less traditional class and location will be independent. In addition, using technology may decrease cost of education, because schools may not lack large physical infrastructures savings. Cost reduction is compatible for underfunded education system.
In conclusion, while technology is developing at a rapid pace in education, it cannot fully take over from teachers.
