Many people argue that physically demanding jobs deserve the same salary as professions that require advanced qualifications. While I understand why this view exists, I strongly disagree. In my opinion, pay should mainly reflect skills, training, and responsibility rather than physical effort alone.
On the one hand, physically hard jobs such as construction work, cleaning, or factory labor are essential for society. These workers often face health risks, long hours, and exhaustion. Without them, daily life and infrastructure would suffer greatly. Therefore, it is reasonable to say they deserve fair wages and better working conditions.
However, jobs that require higher qualifications usually involve years of education, specialized knowledge, and greater responsibility. For example, doctors, engineers, and pilots must undergo long training periods and make decisions that can directly affect human lives or public safety. Because of this high level of skill and accountability, it is justified that they earn higher salaries. Paying all jobs equally would reduce motivation for people to invest time and money in education.
