Working patterns have changed significantly in recent years due to technological advancement. While some people believe that working from home is more productive, others argue that office-based work leads to better performance. This essay will discuss both views and give an opinion.
Some people support working from home is more productive due to its flexibility and accessibility. One compelling reason supporting this view is that it allows workers to work from their own location without any interruption. As a result, employees can save time from travelling and allocate it to work. Unlike in past, professionals had to go their work place and report to their manager at time without fail, but today they got freedom for it as well as they can spend time with the family. Such changes highlights how technology for workers evolved compared to earlier times. If greater attention were given to working from home, a large number of people would be able to access these life-changing opportunities.
On the other hand, critics believe that working from office is batter for employees and organizations. Another significant argument in favor of this opinion is that when company offers work from home facilities to staff, they misuses this for their luxury. As a result, organization can not get enough work as they expected from workforce. For instance, worker wake up late and they are confined within the limited resources, not focus on learning new skills for upgrades. While this was uncommon in the past, it has now become present trend into the labourers. If batter regulation were introduced for this problem, performance of staff would be improve significantly through working from office.
In conclusion, although working from home offers flexibility and convenience, working in an office ensures discipline, collaboration, and accountability. In my opinion, a balanced approach that combines both working methods would be the most effective solution. If organizations adopt hybrid working models, productivity and employee satisfaction are likely to increase in the future.
