I strongly disagree with the statement that people do not pay taxes to their states. As the taxes play a major contributor to a country’s financial support. A country runs by the taxes collected from its citizens.
The taxes received from the people are the main source of the budget in a country. The more honestly the citizens pay the taxes, the better the facilities will be provided by the government. In a developed country, the people are more satisfied with their government, and hence, they pay taxes fairly. In contrast, the citizens of poorly developed or underdeveloped countries are not happy with the tax slabs and unethical use of the country’s finances. Therefore, the collection of taxes in such countries is much less, and this can be improved by reducing the tax burden, utilizing the taxes to enhance public facilities, developing the infrastructure and encouraging the people.
Those people who do not push others towards paying taxes are not satisfied with the tax regime. They are not happy with the government taxation system and often demotivate others not to pay the taxes. However, their logic and reasons are true to some extent because they think that once the state get the taxes they do not use it systematically. Still the basic problems of health, infrastructure, education systems and other amnesties persist.
If most people in a state do not pay taxes, the country will face many obstacles. The losses will be noticed everywhere as the tax supports a state in running its overall machinery, such as its government functioning, defence system, running and controlling a jail, road, and other basic infrastructures.
In conclusion, I reiterate my opinion to pay taxes to the state for the overall development of the nation and its citizens.
