There is an ongoing debate over aims of choosing a book or a printed book. Some people believe that electronic books are better than paper books, while some people tend to argue that e-books cannot be as printed books. I agree with the latter view due to the feeling of enjoyment in providing intellectual stimulation.
On the one hand, there are clear arguments that convenience of electronic books, one of the main reasons, can be that being flexible. This means that you to have immediate access to all the books in your personal library wherever you are. For example, you can read your book everywhere and there aren’t be problems with carrying it. Another possible reason can be that being dictionary in the e-books. This means that more and more electronic books are with its own dictionary. If you don’t understand any sentence or word, you can find it from annotated dictionary.
On the other hand, I agree with the viewpoint that electronic books cannot be as paper books. Firstly, I believe that the feeling of paper book, its weight, its smell, are part of the enjoyment of reading. For example, paper books don’t hurt our eyes and pleasant smell of new book encourages to reader reading the book more. Secondly, I also feel that bookshop browsing provides more enjoyment and intellectual stimulation than scrolling through online catalogue. The reason why visiting-round library is more interesting than scrolling through online catalogue and it doesn’t distract person to other things. Consequently, visiting the library bookshop influence people buying and reading new one. In conclusion, although reading e-books are better because of giving flexible reading opportunity and having dictionary for understanding better, yet I am of the opinion that reading paper books are important owing to feeling of enjoyment when you read new pleasant smell book and providing intellectual stimulation.
