A number of people believe that household refuse is not recycled by a substantial margin. The only viable solution to make that happen is that the administration imposes a law on general public to ensure the recycling process. I strongly agree with the notion. Formation of law will make people fulfill legal obligation and follow the rules. Moreover, building a trend to keep environment clean through both physical and online activities, administrative body can raise awareness and address the law.
I believe people have the tendency to follow rules that are applicable for everyone. To be specific, an individual becomes aware of the rules and regulations when he sees others being serious about this too. For example, it is a convention to recycle industrial waste rather than to throw it in the river or open fields. When this norm was started to be followed by a good number of industries, others were inspired and felt an urge to follow the regulation too. In this way, if authority can ensure through forming a law that people should recycle their waste from home, everybody will start to follow the rule.
Furthermore, administrative body can declare a punishment or fine if anyone does not follow the rule. The fear of getting punished or a public embarrassment will make people abide by the system. Were individuals needed to either spend money or go to jail, then they would be hesitant to disobey the law.
Hence, I believe forming a law can make people more inclined to recycle the garbage which not only ensures the environment will be better but also gives individual the chance to keep their neighborhood cleaner. Besides, having a punishment for those who break the law will help to build a mindset to become a better citizen of the nation.
