It is debatable whether medicinal care and education should be the responsibility of the government, or not. Some people reckon that the authority should provide this welfare to their citizens, while others argue that these should rely on individuals. In this essay, both statements will be explained before my perspective is reached.
In regard to the drawbacks of no supporting policies in free health care, obviously, tons of citizens will be left behind, especially low to middle-class families in the nation. For this reason, I assured that plenty of them would avoid getting any treatment due to its cost. And, if we let this situation cultivated throughout generations, they simply try to murder thousands of their crowds. In other words, this kind of policy would increase the disparity in the rustic due to poverty escaping treatments inevitably. Thus, It’s extremely important to give subsidies to their people.
On the one hand, studying and wellness care should be a basic human right for everyone because It can effectively reduce social disparity. Due to the financial support from the government, every student gets the opportunity to access standard education, regardless of family background. As the result, educated students who come from poor families can elevate their well-being by getting a well-paid job. For example, in developed countries such as the Netherlands and Finland, the governments support tuition fees, and uniforms, and even provide money to parents. Therefore, the rate of unemployed and homeless in their nation is very low compared to developed countries including Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.
In addition, spending expenditure on promoting public health, such as advertising, can raise our health awareness, like personal hygiene, washing our hands frequently and wearing disposable surgical masks to prevent viruses or bacteria from attacking our body’s immune system. On a whole, the authority ought to provide funds to support medical research projects, as well as, promote public health in the community in order to improve residents’ standard of well-being.
In a nutshell, I strongly stand by allocating resources to the medical sector should be prioritized rather than other public sectors.
