It is generally agreed that corruption is the main reason for complications in government organizations and politics. The most important consequences which corruption leads to are shortage of financial support and that people do not trust and bolster the government. What should be done to eradicate corruption is thorough checking of all transactions and a transparent system of the budget.
To begin, shortage of financial support mainly affects the most vulnerable spheres such as education, healthcare and infrastructure. Politicians take bribes to evaluate their own positions, which leads to uneven distribution of funds for example for education and limited budget of educational institutions. One possible solution may be the thorough checking of all transactions made by leaders of each sphere. This may decrease the amount of “secret” wastes which lead to budget holes.
Besides, corruption undermines the government’s authority which leads to riots because the nation does not trust in the validity of their actions. All the taxes which have been paid have no visible consequences in the minds of citizens. Mainly people see that some politician built a new house instead of finishing a governmental project. A good example of abuse of power is Astana LRT – symbol of corruption. The project was presented as part of a governmental program to excel the technical progress, but turned out as a huge failure, which attracted the attention of many people.
However, this problem must be solved,otherwise the government is going to face unbearable consequences of inaction. Nowadays in Kazakhstan we do have something like a transparent system of the budget, but it is not ideal. By imposing strict rules we will get a chance to make a small step to get closer to the world without corruption.
