As Indonesian citizens, it is true that we live in a country rich in diversity, including various cultures and traditions. Some people believe that it is important for young people to follow the traditions of their society in order to preserve their cultural identity. Others, However, argue that they should be free to express themselves as individuals. Through this text, I would like to elaborate views and opinions from both sides.
On one hand, traditions is something that young people need to preserve before it extinct. Traditions offer guidance, moral values, and a sense of belonging, which are seen as essential in shaping respectful and responsible generation.
On the other hand, others argue that young people should be free to express themselves. In this modern world, things keep changing rapidly, which require young generations with creativity and adaptability. They believe that too much pressure can limit freedom, and stop young generations from developing and expressing their true potential.
In my opinion, a balance between both sides are important. While respecting traditions is important, young people should also be given a chance for them to show their true potential by expressing themselves. Society should support youth to adapt to modern society while still putting impotance in preserving cultures and traditions.
