Advantage And Disadvantage

Band 5+: Some people prefer to live in a house, while others feel that there are more advantages to living in an apartment. Are there more advantages than disadvantages of living in a house compared with living in an apartment?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, the preference of people regarding living in a house is becoming noteworthy compared to living in an apartment. I suppose that the benefits of this significantly outbalance its drawbacks. This essay will first demonstrate that residing in a house offers a large space and overall privacy, followed by an analysis of primary disadvantage, named higher cost.

The positive aspects of living in a house include having a huge space and personal privacy altogether. This implies that, people who tend to live in a house, may have a chance to extend their living yard or patios at their discretion. For instance, it can involve an increased number of rooms, a garden or even mini playground which are perfect for relaxation, gardening or entertaining. Moreover, there is a conviction that house residents do have private space that allows them to be engaged in any kind of activity. The recent studies of Social Support Centre, which is located in Tashkent, concerning home activities indicated that approximately 45% of house residents tend to do outdoor sport activities, mostly yoga and pilates on fresh air, can be a prime example to this viewpoint.

However, argument against living in a house might be notable higher cost in comparison with living in a flat. That is to say, houses are generally overpriced due to the provided conveniences, so the purchase price, property taxes and service maintenance is high respectively.

All things considered, I believe that the positive features of living in a house as an opportunity to have a large space and be highly private far exceed the drawbacks.
