Some people say an aging population creates problems for the government, while other people think that it is beneficial for a society to have more elderly people. In my opinion, ageing people are beneficial for society but also problematic for the government. While the number of benefits is more than the drawbacks.

First of all, to maintain societal norms, aging people are needed. They are like a mirror, which shows the true light of society. For instance, having aging people gives direction to maintain good relationships with each other in a society. Whenever a fight happens between persons, they perform a significant role in minimizing it. Therefore, they are like an idol of truth and honesty, which helps young people or adults learn appropriate behavior.

On the other hand, ageing people also create a burden for the government as well. Primarily, they cannot do any kind of work and have to stay home. Thus, government cannot use them for the development of the country. For instance, in Japan, 60% of aging people cannot contribute to the economical development of the country, rather need monthly treatments from the government. Every month, the government needs to ensure free medical treatment for them. Moreover, in some countries, the government needs to pay their daily necessary bills. That means the government has to pay, yearly, a good amount of money from the budget, which ultimately could be used in developing projects for the well-being of society.

In conclusion, ageing people may create problems for the government, but having aging people is much more beneficial as their guidance helps to maintain societal norms, which ultimately minimizes crime, and ensures the well-being of society.
