Many people argue that kindergarten is the most suitable time for chindren to learn foreign languages because their brains are more adaptable to new learning new things, while others believe that teenage is the best time as they are matured enough to make informed decisions. I agree with the latter view as teenagers should be matured to choose the language that is beneficial for their future.
On the one hand, many people think that young children’s brains are receptive to learn the new informations. Their brains are developing, which makes them easier to retain sounds, pronounsations, and vocabularies much faster. When new language are acquired from the childhood then they have more time to make the lanugage fluent. For example, Nepalese students are required to learn english language from the montessori, which has been an effective practice that young people are able to communicate in multiple language. I disagree because they do not have maturity to decide which language to choose, so there are a chances that they end up choosing wrong language.
On the other hand, others argue that teenagers are matured enough to choose the languages they prefer. When they are adults, they can decide which languages are beneficial for their future careers. This allow them to eliminate the options and choose the language that is comfortable for them to acquire. For example, if someone dreamed to work in the multinational companies in India, then they can choose to learn hindi during their teenage. I agree with this view because taking the decision that benefits individuals is more comfortable to witness that forceful learning.
Although many people believe kindergarten is the most effective time to learn the new languages, I believe teenagers is the best option as they can decide language according to their preference.
