A number of people believe that music is a great way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together. This essay totally agrees with this statement. I strongly believe that music is something that is listened to by almost the whole population. This leads to people being emotionally attached to music even if they don’t understand it.
The main reason why I believe that music is bringing people together has to be the zero barrier between people listening to it. Regardless of their culture, language, and age, people can very well enjoy listening to music even if they don’t understand it. Even though one doesn’t understand the language, he/she can understand the melody of it. In today’s world, linguistic and cultural barrier is no longer a thing, as people enjoy each other’s company. For example, Foreigners are also seen enjoying Nepali music, even though they don’t understand the language, they understand the melody, feelings, and story behind this music which leads them to connect more with the locals.
Moreover, people are emotionally attached to one song, genre, or music. Music has an ethereal way of making you feel self-satisfied and provides a strong sense of happiness and understanding. According to your music genre preference, you will find people who enjoy the same genre as you. Individuals will feel a sense of acceptance, belonging, and attachment with people who have similar tastes in music. This helps people to bond over music regardless of their difference in age or race. For example, People even if they are of different age groups, and likely to understand each other better if they share similar tastes in music.
Referring to the previous paragraphs, I conclude that music brings people together emotionally as well as physically irrespective of their culture, dialect, age, and nationality.
